LONDON-cover

The last time I visited the city was 3 years ago. Must have changed by then..The most significant part of the city was actually its "mood". Interestingly this all bohemian atmosphere surrounds the city gives you an energy to discover more and live it more. People hanging out after job for a drink and having a snack is a really cool classic of the city. So you can find lots of little pubs while walking around. Plus fashion & art! You can see all new coming trends and believe me it is awesome.

So here are some hints about the city..

  1. This is what we always wanna know - Info about the opening times!
The shops are open 9.30am-7pm from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday it is either 12-6pm or 11am-5pm. On thursdays especially in central shopping zones stores are open until 8 pm and sometimes 9 pm.
Best timing for new season is September and late February to March.
If you are looking for sales, you should visit the city around June/July in summer, December / January in winter.
  2. It is always the most diffucult part - The Airport!:
Two main airports: Heathrow(the closest one to the centre) and Gatwick.
For small budget airlines there are two airports: Luton and Stansted.                                                                              From
Heathrow airport you can take the express train direct to Paddington station. It takes around 15 minutes and costs around £32.                                                                                                                                                                       From Gatwick airport you can take express train direct to Victoria train station . It takes around 30 minutes and costs approx.  £28.80.
You can also take a taxi but it is an expensive option. A taxi from Heathrow to central London takes an hour and costs around £50. From Gatwick, it is approx. £80 and can take over an hour.
  3. How to discover the city - Some travel info:
Underground system is the easiest way to get around London. (plus it is the easiest way). You may prefer to have the Oyster Card which is a pre pay option which deducts your prepaid money in your card with each journey.
